988 STICKER CAMPAIGN
For National Suicide Prevention Week (September 10th-16th), our coalition is partnering with local Aspirus pharmacies for the 988 Sticker Campaign! Throughout this week, stickers will be attached to prescription bags to offer mental health resources. Find out more HERE.​
COASTER CAMPAIGN
Thanks to our partnership with the Bartenders Association for the Tri-County area, we have distributed mental health awareness coasters to local restaurants/bars. This informs community members about resources like HeadsUpGuys, the Tri-County Crisis Line, and the National Lifeline.
CAR SHOW DONATIONS
The Northwoods Classic Car Show Series, sponsored by Cathy’s Ice Cream, Red Canoe, and Marthaler Chevrolet presented a $1,500 check to the Northwoods COPE. Don Elfstrom organized the car show held at Colorama in St. Germain in September 2024 which raised $1500. Don said it was important to give back to those who support mental health awareness.
The COPE Coalition donated $500 to a local Mental Health Organization, NAMI Northern Lakes, in January 2025. NAMI Northern Lakes provides free in-person & virtual services to those affected by mental illness including peer and family support groups, a peer-run drop-in center in Rhinelander, and educational classes. They also offer resources, presentations and trainings in the community and advocate to improve the lives of people affected by mental health conditions.
